The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, U.S. National Poultry Research Center, Quality and Safety Assessment Research Unit, Athens, Georgia, invites applications for a Research Animal Scientist/Research Molecular Biologist position. You will be expected to: 1) Use advanced muscle biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or -omics based approaches to understand how the chemical and physical properties of poultry muscle influence poultry meat product quality and processing; 2) Conduct research to decipher the etiology of muscle growth-related myopathies that negatively impact poultry meat quality such as white striping, wooden breast, and spaghetti meat; 3) Conduct research to determine the influence of muscle growth-related myopathies on muscle structure, compositi
