**This position reports to our Marion, OH location; out-of-state applicants will also be considered**
Assisting the client in installing the equipment into place, training their staff to operate the equipment and provide support the client by either on-site (in the protein packaging environment) or remotely by phone, video conference and remote access communications from off site.
Hands-on integration, modifying and repair of bandsaw and equipment to meet required customer specifications.
Perform engineering and manufacturing functions for retrofit projects including, but not limited to, customer contact, hardware design, software design, scheduling, materials coordination, build, and implementation
Troubleshoot and editing of existing PLC Programming
Being professional, helpful, commercially aware and safety conscious as a representative of the company at all times
Being available outside normal hours of work to assist with customer support when necessary
Maintain electrical and safety standards to current industry best practices and all applicable safety codes.
Takes primary responsibility for safety audit and compliance.
Preforming Factory Acceptance Tests, to Quality Assurance standards on equipment and parts
Percentage of time required for travel in this position: 50-60%
Travel away from home (domestic or international) will be expected with consideration given to frequency of travel and exceptional personal circumstances that may exist.
Travel may be required at short notice.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Associate’s Degree in engineering or related schooling/on-the-job education in a specific skill area; technical degree or higher may be acceptable with demonstrated extensive hands-on equivalent experience
The ability to travel a minimum 60-70% of the time
Knowledge of automation controls equipment maintenance and circuitry – 4 years’ work experience or university/trade school degree, or applicable certification in electrical trades
Intermediate level understanding in electrical troubleshooting to fault find and service electrical equipment
Electrically qualified to understand, troubleshoot, and service (up to) 600V 3 phase electrical equipment
Experience in Pneumatics & Mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical problems while on site
Thorough knowledge and understanding of standard instrumentation and devices used in maintenance roles.
