The Production Manager's primary role is to assist Plant Manager in all aspects of daily plant and production operations.
Essential Functions: These essential functions are primary job duties that this individual must be able to perform.
Assist Plant Manager in daily supervision of operations,
scheduling plant and production operations,
ensuring that all documentation related to the department is filled out timely and correctly,
ensuring all departments have all necessary tools required to perform daily tasks,
ensuring that all employees are receiving adequate training,
conduct regular meetings to ensure all needs are met for daily operations,
ensuring all the companies policies on safety, food safety, food defense, and GMP’s are followed by each department,
communicate effectively with Quality Assurance to resolve issues with raw materials, production and finished product,
and Assist Plant Manager, Human Resources and Leads with employment and staffing issues,
Any other duties assigned by Plant Manager
This individual must have good communication skills both orally and in writing. Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in food manufacturing prefered or the equivalent in work experience with at least 3 years in a position of leadership. Computer knowledge to include MS Word and Excel required and the ability to learn the operation of additional industry specific software. Additionally, the individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with short timelines, have a strong attention to detail, be a self-starter, and have office appearance and demeanor as required. Confidentiality is required for the protection of employees’ personal information, customer information and production formulas.
