Position PurposeThe Commercialization Project Manager will be accountable for coordinated, aligned and successful execution for new innovation products in Cargill Protein. These projects are initiated through the business PPM process, and sponsored and approved by the business leadership. This individual will serve as a resource for determining barriers and resource needs for current and proposed projects. Activities will focus on the following aspects of project execution, providing input to the business case through the project management of execution and measurement of success. This individual has primary responsibility for the preparation of the commercial assessment, responsibility for the project results, project team leadership, and the organization and integration necessary to deliver projects that meet the stated project objectives. This individual will identify problems and facilitate team communication to find solutions, both internal and external. They will also lead the communication, as necessary, to a wide variety of audiences from senior management to plant stakeholders to keep projects in alignment to business financial and timing goals. This role is focused on Cargill’s retail protein business. This individual will work hand in hand with Marketing, Business, and Product Leads to align each project with the channel strategies in all product lines represented by Cargill Protein. This position requires strong communication and presentation skills and must have a well established knowledge of various departments. (I.e. Sales, QA, R&D, BOM, Operations, Procurement, Engineering, APO) within Cargill Protein. Strong business acumen and an understanding of the inputs and process around capital projects working within the defined processes required by Cargill Protein and Cargill Corporate for the management of projects.Principal Accountabilities40% Facilitate and lead multiple project teams with various departments and internal and external stakeholders (supply chain, customer service, sales, marketing, engineering, operations, quality assurance, and customers). Responsible for communicating the status of retail protein projects and resolve issues that arise to ensure that project solutions align to the business plan and strategy of Cargill Protein. 30% Provide primary contact and guidance on a wide variety of market and sales driven projects through the PPM process from develop through implementation. Ensure that the business financial case for new products and projects are supported by accurate and timely project information. 15% Implement innovation and growth opportunities in line with marketing and sales strategies, drive margin enhancement opportunities, update and maintain relevant capability information in line with the business plan. 15% Ensure that the costing for products are supported by accurate information before and after the establishment of the price.Participation in the development of business and capacity plans and strategy development as required to support commitments required for supply chain needs.
