| TITLE: Senior Food Scientist, Meat and Batters & Breading Applications |

REPORTS TO: Director, Global Applications
Ingredion is hiring a Senior Food Scientist to lead our Meat and Batters & Breadings Applications teams and support management of the Englewood Idea Labs facility. The role will be responsible for managing scientists, projects and functional portfolio, developing new ingredients and solutions, publishing technical and marketing materials, preparing customer prototypes and documentation, and supporting key customer projects. The Senior Food Scientist will lead and support multidisciplinary new product development and applied research projects.
As Senior Food Scientist, your responsibilities will include: •Developing and implementing Meat and Batters & Breadings strategy working with global and regional teams to deliver formulated solutions and technical information to support customer projects globally. Focus on driving improved process efficiencies, improved product quality and lower ingredient costs.
•Formulate solutions for Meat/Poultry/Seafood and Batters & Breading applications. Develop relationships with customers in target markets and work with internal & external resources/partners to identify and bring new ingredients to market. Identify gaps and develop new capabilities and expertise.
•Working with global teams to understand project/market needs in international sectors, define shared work plans, and gain support/input throughout project timelines.
•Developing new meat/poultry/seafood/batter & breading concepts leveraging ingredients and processes which can be applied globally. Using extensive industrial expertise to develop and commercialize new ingredients and technologies.
•Ensuring team designs and conducts appropriate experiments in the laboratory and pilot plant to advance projects to completion.
•Developing industry relationships and network within relevant professional organizations and utilize academic & university resources.
•Developing and sponsoring industry innovation workshops for key clients in the U.S. and internationally in Denver or at external sites.
•Developing technical presentations to be presented at key industry organization meetings and trade shows.
•Keeping appropriate records to support IP strategy and develop patent applications. Conducting prior art searches (literature, patents) related to projects and stay abreast of meat science and batter & breading technology and external environment (market trends, IP landscape).
•Developing training plans and mentor/grow the team.
•Setting high standards for safety awareness within team and drives safety commitment across organization.
